About the App

Pika Camera is a local photo retouching and cinematic color grading tool. You can apply built-in looks to your photos, import your own .cube LUT files, fine-tune light and skin tones, and grade videos on iOS. All processing happens locally on your device — your photos and videos are never uploaded to a server.

How to Use

01 Pick a photo Tap the import button on the home screen and choose a photo from your library, or try the built-in sample image to walk through the full flow. The app will ask for photo library access the first time; please tap "Allow".
02 Find your color Apply a built-in look, import your own LUT, or adjust light, color and skin tone in the adjustment section. Press and hold the image to compare with the original, and undo or redo at any time.
03 Save a new piece Tap save and the result is exported at the original resolution as a new photo in your library. Your original photo is never overwritten. Video grading is currently available on iPhone and iPad, and the original audio track is preserved on export.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Nothing happens when I tap import, or my library appears empty?

Check photo access: go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos, find Pika Camera, and set access to "All Photos".

Q: I get a permission error when saving?

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos, find Pika Camera, and set access to "Add Photos Only" or "All Photos".

Q: The preview keeps loading and never shows the result?

Rendering uses real compute, which is more noticeable with high-resolution photos. If it stays unresponsive, close and reopen the app, then select the photo again. If the problem persists, please email us.

Q: I saved but can't find the photo in my library?

The app confirms "Saved to library" on success. Look under "Recents" in your system photo library, or sort by most recently added. Your original photo stays where it was and is never replaced.

Q: Does the app need an internet connection?

No. All core editing happens locally on your device, and none of your photos or data are uploaded.

Q: Where is the AI professional portrait / ID photo feature?

That feature requires a cloud AI service and is not available in the current release, so no entry is shown on the home screen. When it becomes available, we will clearly explain how photos are uploaded, both in the app and in the privacy policy.
